Outcast
Being born to an all unicorn family without a horn marked the beginning of Bitter Belle’s bitterness. Always being treated as less-than by her own family burned into her mind, leading her to assume that was how everyone viewed her to begin with. The resulting harshness with which Bitter Belle carried herself only served to further push people away from being friendly with her. This hopelessness she had led her to believe there was no reason for her to be polite or tactful if people already disliked her to begin with. It created a miserable loop that only stopped when Bitter Belle befriended Pepperflame.
Observant
When Bitter Belle was young and often ignored, she had the time to watch what the adults chose to do instead of tending to her needs, emotionally or otherwise. She’d see them pass off responsibility to her older sister, Sunbelle and see what was more important to them. Eventually, Bitter Belle learned to glean information by eavesdropping quietly on those around her, watching from afar. With that, she soon learned how to manipulate relatives to get things she wanted. They were ashamed of her anyway, so it was only fair Bitter Belle was able to gain some benefit by leveraging her family’s desire to save face.
Analyst
Much to Sunbelle’s annoyance, Bitter Belle loves creating remote controlled projects, such as “SmartHome” styled integrations. This hobby eventually sparked Bitter Belle’s interest in programming and robotics, particularly coding classical AI for computer games and programs that automatically adapt to different situations. ((This is NOT generative AI such as ChatGPT)) Bitter Belle is driven to continue leveling up her skills in this hobby because it feels like her own capturing of magic she never got to experience.
Defensive
Socially, Bitter Belle reads malcontent (whether its there or not) in someone else’s words and actions toward her. The more innocent the request seems, the more malice and deception she interprets from it. And Unfortunately, she’s just as abrasive on the net as she is in real life. Luckily, Bitter Belle hasn’t attracted the ire of a life ruining harassment campaign for being so snippy. Honestly, Bitter Belle thinks there was already one going on to begin with.
